Questions, Answers, and Tips

What is your cancellation policy? 

-You can cancel your move and receive your deposit back if the request is made 24 hours or more before your scheduled move. 

 

-Moves that are canceled within 24 hours of your scheduled move will be charged for the deposit and remaining balance of move.  

What is your rescheduling policy? 

-Moves that are rescheduled 24 hours or more of your scheduled move can be made for no additional charge, subject to availability. 

-Moves that are rescheduled within 24 hours of your scheduled move will be charged the deposit and remaining balance of move. 

-If your reschedule request is within 24 hours of your scheduled move, you can reschedule your move for no additional fees as long as the new move date is within 30 days of the original move date, subject to availability. This requests must be submitted to info@apartmentonemoving.com

-Full size refrigerators               

-Dish Washers                          

-Pianos                                     

-Washer and dryers 

-Aquariums 

-Hazardous materials(flammable, chemical, perishable, etc...)

-Illegal items 

-Cash

-Animals & insects

-Plants

How and when do I pay? 

-Upon booking $150 deposit will be charged. 24 hours before your scheduled move a temporary hold for the remaining balance will be charged to your saved payment which will be charged upon completion of your move. 

-Bookings made within 24 hours of your move date will be charged the deposit and will have a temporary hold on made for the remaining balance to be finalized upon completion of your move. 

Can I leave my items in my furniture? 

No, we believe it would be in your best interest if you didn't due to added weight and the liability of damage during transit. 

What happens if my move happens on a day of bad weather? 

We will do our best to complete your move during any weather, with the primary concern of safety for our employees and your things in mind. If we decide the move needs to be canceled we will accommodate a rescheduled move as best we can or a full refund will be issued. 

 

Is tipping considered mandatory or required? 

Tipping is not required but is and always will be appreciated for job well done. If you choose to tip our movers will accept cash, venmo, cash app, and zelle. 

What can I do to ensure my move goes smoothly and quickly? 

Make sure to have a safe environment for our movers

-clear doorways, walkways, secure animals 

-If you have an elevator try to make sure it is reserved for your move

-Don't over pack boxes, boxes that are more then 30lbs can be unstable, at risk of damaging your goods, as well as difficult and dangerous to move! 

-Have your belongings and items packed and ready to move! 

Speaking of boxes...how many do I need? 

Every move space has it's unique needs but heres a list that can help you get started and you can go from there! Facebook market place is a great place to find free/cheap boxes btw! You want to make sure that your boxes are in good condition, have all their flaps/covers and no rips or tears. 

One Bedroom apartment: 

26 small boxes

16 medium boxes 

6 large boxes 

2 boxes for dishes 

4 wardrobe boxes 

Studio

16 small boxes 

10 medium boxes 

5 large boxes 

2 dish boxes 

2 wardrobe boxes 

Furniture drawers and cabinets should be empty 

So you're looking at your dresser and you're thinking,"I'm going to pack the drawers like boxes. It'll be great." It will in fact...not be great. 

Having your furniture properly cleared out helps keep our movers safe as well as the structural integrity of your furniture and belongings.
